What what people don’t realize is how easy it is to get started with Clickbank and how you can start generating sales even if you have your own product.

There are a few ways to do this.

In fact I managed to generate over $25,764 in sales for a resale license I paid $197 for without spending a penny on advertising.

Once you have built a successful customer and lead list there are also several ways you can leverage this into even greater profits.

Clickbank is such an attractive proposition for affiliates to use. They know they are going to get paid twice per month and on clockwork every time.

There is no way to make millions online (or even hundreds of thousands) without leveraging other people’s resources. The truth is, you only have a certain amount of time, money and contacts which will only take you a certain distance down the path the internet riches…

The great thing is, these sites already have the traffic and the eyeballs coming in daily. You didn’t need to build up the sites, you don’t need to worry about tomorrow’s traffic…these sites take care of all that hassle for you!

The best part is, social sites such as Youtube, MySpace and blogging communities all rely on their own users to build the traffic for them (and for you!). This means that the potential traffic that will be exposed to your affiliate link will only continue to grow.

Placing your affiliate link on these sites however, must be done with precaution and respect. The last thing you want it to come across as a spammer. Here’s 5 ways to get around this problem every time:

1. Read the blog posts and make a helpful comment
2. Watch the video and post a helpful comment
3. Get to know people on MySpace, build up a friends list and THEN send a bulletin or mail out to all your friends and networking groups
4. Participate in forums before adding your affiliate link in your signature
5. Make real friends on Facebook that are interested or will be interested in the same subject/problem/hobby as your affiliate product

These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to leveraging traffic from the giant websites, without having to build your own websites yourself.

However, the fact still remains that in order to make sales as an affiliate, it requires a lot of people to be sent to a sales page, purely because most affiliate offers are not cheap enough to be impulse buys for the visitor.

They need to think about it, or really, really, really need it in order for a sale to occur. Sometimes a sales page that you send them to will not do the job of converting the visitor, so you’re going to struggle either way.

All of these problems can be resolved, and the amount of leverage you can gain from other secret sources is going to blow your mind. Imagine being able to rake in literally thousands of visitors that go directly to offers that DO convert, without you having to try and sell anything to anybody?

Huge Traffic And Lazy Affiliate Sales

This is always due to three things:

1. You are paying too much for your keywords
The way to reduce your cost per clicks is to create a more relevant landing page with LOTS of content on it, which is relevant to the keywords you’re bidding on. It really is that simple! If you’re paying too much it’s because either the keyword is way too broad (and therefore too competitively priced in the PPC market) or that Google doesn’t think your page is relevant (useful) to that specific keyword.

2. You are paying for the wrong keywords
Broad terms, terms that imply someone is doing their research etc…these are bad keyword to be spending money on. Instead, aim for keywords that are very specific (such as model numbers, product names) and also try to target keywords that imply that the person is on the verge of buying something. For example, “buy golf shoes”, “download eBook”, “software review”.

3. You are not converting visitors into buyers
This is a slightly more complex issue, but essentially involves a few key elements of time tested copywriting and direct response rules. These are:

- simplicity
Keep your webpages simple, easy to read & easy to understand.

- relevant keywords
Whatever keyword the visitor used to find your ad, (and ultimately your webpage) must be clearly visible on the webpage wherever possible. This will help the reader identify the page as relevant.

- visible links
Don’t be afraid to promote and sell! You really need to get your affiliate links in people’s line of vision. That’s the whole point and that’s what you’ve paid PPC costs to do!

- focused promotion
Stick to one promotion (one product) at a time, per page. Don’t confuse the readers with lots of offers, because multiple choices lead to no choices at all in most cases.

- easy on the eye colours
Don’t try and be the next Picasso, there’s no need to impress readers with your “art”. Just keep it simple and get them over to the affiliated website ASAP.

- simple navigation
If you’ve got a few pages to include, keep the titles “mystery free” and keep the navigation simple, so that at any point a reader can be just a few clicks from each page

- hype free, 3rd person reviews
Reviews are undoubtedly the most powerful way to convert visitors into buyers. This is because of many aspects, such as:

1. Firstly, the reader is in the buying stage.
2. Secondly, people react well to social proof (such as someone else giving their opinion)
3. Thirdly, it gives a soft presell of the product, without sounding biased or forcing the reader into one single action (they can always choose a different product in your review).

If you follow these 3 guidelines I can assure you that you’ll always be one step ahead of the competition when it comes to affiliate marketing.

A few weeks ago I decided I had to completely change the way I approach affiliate marketing, in fact all marketing online. I had no clue about how to make videos or how to market them but realized that if I did not get on board the Internet Marketing bandwagon then I was going to get left behind.

Most of the methods can be done for free but like most things in life you get what you pay for. A quick example of this would be submitting videos to all the big video sharing sites.

You can do this manually for free but is VERY time consuming. Or you can use a free service which submits to half a dozen sites. Or you can go the whole hog and use a membership service that submits your videos to all the major sites in minutes.

I’ll go into more detail about these services as well as other video resources that I highly recommend in future posts. But for now here are a few resources that I use that you can check out for yourself.

There are tons of videos and other content and even better the forum, where Jason actually answers questions himself not some

Making money on MySpace isn’t as easy as it once was. It used to be incredibly easy to make money on the site. A marketer could create a fake profile, add thousands of friends using an automated program, and then simply send bulletins out to all of those thousands of people. Then people started complaining about the ridiculous amount of spam messages they were getting from marketers. Some people would receive dozens of daily spam offerings for everything from Viagra to ringtones to payday loans, and everything in between.

Those people started to complain to MySpace, so to salvage their reputation, they got a lot stricter about enforcing their rules. One of the first things they did was put a limit on the number of friends you could add daily. This seriously hampered a lot of people, who were used to adding hundreds or even thousands of people per day to their spam lists using those automated programs.

Then they started cracking down on bulletin spam, banning some users who abused the privilege. Users would find themselves banned within hours of sending out their first bulletin, which cause many marketers to simply give up trying to make money on MySpace. But smart marketers found out you could still use MySpace to make a great deal of money if you used it properly. Gone were the days of sending out bulletin spam, spamming affiliate links on guestbooks, and spamming the MySpace forums. But you could still promote your offerings tactfully.

You should offer MySpace users real value in return for being your friend. If they’re just on your list for marketing purposes, make sure you provide them with plenty of free incentives to get them to stay. Once you’ve made friends with people, you can direct them to your own websites outside of MySpace. You could ask them to join your forum, sign up to your newsletter, or visit your blog. Once you get your friends to start networking with you outside, you’re free to market to them however you choose.

MySpace won’t interfere with your marketing efforts off their site, even if someone reports you for trying to sell them something after they joined your email list from your own private website. Just keep in mind that there’s always a chance you could be banned for using any kind of marketing there. Although you can greatly minimize your chances, due to their terms of service that prohibit blatant marketing, there’s still that small risk that you should keep in mind. The financial rewards generally makes it worth the risk.

Video sites are the most visited sites on the net. They are also the most valuable. Youtube was sold for over $1.5 billion. Search Engines have adjusted their algorithms to make sure fresh video content that is renewed hundreds of times a day is current and correctly ranked in their results.

So how do we profit from this? JP Schoeffel has created a script that creates websites that pull keyword related videos from Youtube and put links on your site. The beauty of this is that you have a niche site full of videos that are hosted by somebody else so no hosting problems for you.

How does it work? This is probably the easiest way of creating any kind of website let alone one containing videos. You simply put the niche keyword for your site into a file add your adsense id and upload it to your site! It takes about a minute! There are extra modifications you can make like any traditional site and as usual JP provides some great video tuition.

I set up a site a month ago with the original Niche Video Site Builder script and while it was a breeze the results were not as effective as I expected. However JP has just released version 2 and the improvements are fantastic. The videos that show up are much better related. Tip #1 Headlines Are Important

A web page can have more than one headline. The main headline is the one at the top of the page or article. It is called a H1 tag. Make sure keywords are included here. It is not out of the question for the headlines to bear more weight than paragraphs and other text.

A second or third headline, H2 and H3, may also be included. Just make sure to have the right keyword phrase included in each of these, as well.

Tip #2 Using Keywords In Body Text

The actual text on the page is also very important. Make sure the first lines of text have the most important keywords included. It is important to make sure the keywords are worked into the headline and the first few sentences on a page in a normal, natural way. Words should flow comfortably and not sound forced.

Having text on a page is more important than many realize. Search engines do not recognize keywords in javascript, graphics, flash or marquees. Pages that do best are between 100 and 400 words total. Web pages that only have images usually do not rank high on search engines, since they do not have text to index.

Tip #3 Page Title Keywords

Keywords can also help when they are added to the page Title. You will see the Title near the top of your HTML source code.

This is what appears in the browser window at the very top of the page above the menu. Most search engines display the Title as the top line in their listing. They have a propensity to list pages that have the searched keyword contained in the Title. Considering this, it is one of the most important parts of a page to include your primary keyword.

Tip #4 Image Names

Make sure Alt tags are added to image descriptions, in order to maximize your search engine optimization efforts. Doing so will also help the viewers experience in case any images don’t load.

However, never use more than 2 - 3 keywords in any one Alt tag. Also, don’t repeat the same keywords in different ALT tags. It’s best to use related keywords or even mispellings.

Every web page provides a great opportunity to use keywords to it’s advantage. Taking a look at the web pages source code and tweaking it can pay off with rankings and traffic, so it’s well worth the effort.
